Lunar II: Year of the Dog 1/2 oz Silver 2018
The 2018 Year of the Dog is the eleventh coin in the Lunar II series issued by Australia's Perth Mint. This particular coin was made from silver with a weight of half an ounce and a bullion grade of 9999. The coin is guaranteed by the Australian Government and is full legal tender in the country. In addition, the number of minted pieces amounted to 116,289. The images of all coins in the Lunar collection are modelled on the Chinese lunar calendar. Additionally, these coins are an excellent way to invest in precious metals. The obverse of the coin is invariably decorated with an image of Queen Elizabeth II with the weight, year and country of issue. The reverse features an illustration of a lunar animal.
