The Year of the Tiger bullion coin is a gold coin from the Lunar I series produced in 1998. The 1/4 ounce gold coin is made from the highest grade bullion, which is 9999 Au. The coin comes from the renowned Perth Mint. The Lunar series is inspired by the Chinese lunar calendar, which consists of 12 cycles of the moon, with each cycle representing 12 animals. The obverse of the coin is decorated with an image of Queen Elizabeth II, and there was also information about the date of issue and the issuing country.
