The American Buffalo gold coin is a coin issued by the United States Mint (West Point facility) that was struck from 24-karat gold. This investment product was authorized by the U.S. Congress in 2005 and has been continuously produced since 2006. Moreover, it carries the guarantee of the U.S. government and is legal tender within the issuing country.

The American Buffalo is struck in a one-ounce weight with an unlimited mintage. It is also a coin that has been gaining popularity year after year not only in the United States but also beyond its borders.
