Liberty-S Double Eagle 20 Dollar 1887 Condition 2
An antique gold coin ideally suited to any collector or investor. Minted by the Philadelphia Mint, it has no mint mark. This beautiful coin was struck in 0.900 fineness and contains 0.9675 ounces of pure gold. The condition of the coin is stated to be 2- and has an open 3 which indicates the number of coins struck as 1,709,800. pieces. The obverse shows the figure of the Goddess of Liberty, facing left, surrounded by 13 stars. Below her is the year the coin was struck. The reverse features an image of a heraldic eagle with a shield on its breast. Above it, surrounded by 13 stars, is the inscription IN GOD WE TRUST. Surrounding the whole is the inscription UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and the denomination of the coin " TWENTY D.". Do you need help?
