The reverse also features a mark honoring the original 1990 design and radiant lines symbolizing the rising sun.

Reverse shows a kookaburra resting on a branch along with information on weight, metal purity, year of issue, and the letter "P" indicating Perth Mint as the producer. The design was created by Sean Rogers. The reverse also bears the inscription “Kookaburra 35th Anniversary”.
