Kookaburra 1 oz Silver 2025
The 2025 Kookaburra silver coin is the thirty-sixth edition of one of the most popular bullion series, the Australian Kookaburra. The coin, depicting an Australian kingfisher, is minted from pure Ag.9999 silver, weighs one ounce, and has a diameter of 40.9 mm. Its issuer remains Australia’s oldest mint – The Perth Mint. A unique feature of the Kookaburra's design is its limited mintage, which amounts to 500,000 pieces.
The Kookaburra series of silver coins has been produced since 1990. Initially (excluding the first edition, which was minted only in one size – 1 ounce), the collection was minted in four different sizes: 1 kilogram, 10 ounces, 2 ounces, and 1 ounce. However, in 2010, the variety was reduced to three sizes: 1 kilogram, 10 ounces, and 1 ounce. It is also worth noting that the collection stands out due to its annually changing design, which causes its value to increase year by year. In summary, the Kookaburra collection is an ideal solution for anyone looking for new, interesting assets for their portfolio.
Obverse of the coin depicts a portrait of King Charles III, designed by Daniel Thorne, along with information about the coin’s nominal value and the issuing country.
