The 2022 gold Koala coin is the 16th piece forming the Australian Koala series. Coins in the Australian Koala series have been produced since 2007. Importantly, the design of the coins changes annually, making them highly recommended to collectors.The coin depicting the koala was struck in pure Au.9999 gold, weighing one troy ounce and measuring 27.6mm in diameter, in proof and high relief.
