The Memory Coin of Father Franciszek Blachnicki is a unique tribute to one of the most important Polish clergymen and social activists of the 20th century. Father Blachnicki was renowned as the founder of the Light-Life Movement, which played a key role in the spiritual renewal of the Church in Poland and worldwide. This coin serves as a symbolic expression of remembrance of his life, values, and contribution to the development of the Catholic community. Made of silver with a purity of Ag 999 and a face value of 10 zł, with a diameter of 32 mm and weight of 14.14 g, the coin features high-quality craftsmanship using a mirror proof die. The limited mintage of 8,000 pieces emphasizes its exceptional character and collector value. Obverse: In the foreground is a pair of young people symbolizing the youth's engagement in spiritual and community values. In the upper part of the composition, on the right, there is the graphic emblem of the Light-Life Movement, also known as the Oasis. On the right side is the image of the eagle, the emblem of Poland, below which is the mint mark: m/w. Above the eagle is the denomination “10 ZŁ”. At the bottom, along the coin's edge, is the inscription: “RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 2025”. Reverse: On the right side is a portrait of Father Franciszek Blachnicki, whose attire includes a fragment of a striped camp uniform with the number 1201 – a reference to his imprisonment in Auschwitz. On the left is a symbolic composition: a cross with a draped stole, at its base an image of thorns – motifs emphasizing the spiritual dimension of his work and personal experience of suffering. The designer's initials – “PK” – are at the bottom. Along the lower edge of the coin is the inscription: “PAMIĘCI KS. FRANCISZKA BLACHNICKIEGO”.
