The product was designed by Urszula Walerzak and minted on behalf of the NBP by the Mint of Poland. It is legal tender within the territory of the Republic of Poland.

Obverse features the crown of Mary from the icon of Our Lady of Jasna Góra – a crown offered by Saint John Paul II. It is accompanied by a fragment of a quote from the 1920 Act of Polish bishops reaffirming the choice of the Virgin Mary as the Queen of Poland, the inscription 'Rzeczpospolita Polska 2025', the Polish coat of arms, and the coin’s face value.

Reverse depicts a family in the style of a child’s drawing, with the Jasna Góra monastery seen from the east in the background, along with the inscription “Jasna Góra – Spiritual Capital of Poland.” The composition emphasizes the importance of Jasna Góra as a place of prayer, faith, and generations of Poles paying homage to the Virgin Mary.
