The Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II 50p Copper 2022 coin is a unique product that remembers and pays tribute to the 70th anniversary of the service of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Queen Elizabeth II was born on 21 April 1926 and died on 8 September 2022. She had been in service since 1952. In 2022, the platinum jubilee was celebrated. The product is also unique in that, for the first time, the obverse bears the likeness of the heir to the throne, King Charles III, who took over the reign after Queen Elizabeth II's death. The coin is minted in a copper-nickel alloy, weighing 8 grams, with a diameter of 27.30 mm. The mintage of the coin is unlimited. In addition, this unusual piece was produced by The Royal Mint. The Overt depicts for the first time the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain and information about the face value of the coin. The designer of the obverse was Martin Jennings.
The Rewers of the coin depict the Royal Coat of Arms. Edgar Fuller and Cecil Thomas were responsible for the design of the reverse.Projektant
