Harry Potter: The Patronus Colorized 50p Silver Coin 2025 Proof
Harry Potter: The Patronus Coloured 50p Silver 2025 Proof is a collector coin issued by The Royal Mint to commemorate one of the most memorable scenes from the third installment of the young wizard’s adventures. In "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," Harry faces the terrifying Dementors for the first time – ghostly guardians of Azkaban who can suck out their victims’ souls. With the help of his new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Remus Lupin, Harry learns the Patronus Charm – one of the most powerful forms of protection against these fearsome creatures.
The coin is struck from sterling silver (.925) in proof quality and weighs 8 grams. It marks the final release in the collection commemorating key moments from the Harry Potter series. With a limited mintage of only 2,500 pieces, it’s a true gem for fans of numismatics and the magical world created by J.K. Rowling. The reverse was designed by Warner Bros Entertainment Inc. and remastered by The Royal Mint’s designer, Bella Biggs.
Obverse features a portrait of King Charles III by Martin Jennings. The legend around includes: “CHARLES III”, “D.G.REX.F.D.”, the year of issue and face value.
Reverse shows Harry Potter casting the Expecto Patronum spell in a dynamic scene as he faces off against a Dementor. The background includes the inscription “EXPECTO PATRONUM”.
