Set of 2 Great Engravers coins: Petition Crown 2 x 1000 grams Gold 2023 Proof is a product of the 'Great Engravers' series, which celebrates the most iconic coin designs in numismatic history. The specimen refers to the Royal Mint's English medallist -Thomas Simon. He was appointed chief engraver by Parliament in the 17th century and engraved the famous crown of Charles II.

The pieces are minted in Au.999 bullion, weighing 1,000 grams and measuring 100 mm in diameter, to proof standard. In addition, this extraordinary set has been produced by The Royal Mint and comes with individual, certified packaging. The Overt of the coins shows the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain and the denomination and year. The obverse was designed by Martin Jennings. The Reverse depicts the likeness of Charles II and the four crowned coats of arms: England, Scotland, Ireland and France, designed by Thomas Simon.
