Great Engravers - Benedetto Pistrucci St George and the Dragon 1000 grams Gold 2024 Proof is a coin from the 'Great Engravers' series following the iconic motif of St George Benedetto Pistrucci and the dragon. In his pursuit of artistic excellence, Pistrucci created a design that many consider to be his best. The coin was produced in Au.999 gold, with a weight of 1005 grams and a diameter of 100 mm, in proof standard. In addition, this extraordinary piece was produced by The Royal Mint. The product was housed in its original packaging. The coin is guaranteed by the UK Government as to its legality, purity of the bullion and origin of the metal, and is full legal tender in the issuer's country.

The obverse shows the likeness of King Charles III of the United Kingdom and the denomination and year, as designed by Martin Jennings.

The Rewers of the gold coin depict a scene of Saint George slaying a dragon and the inscription 'PISTRUCCI'. The designer of the reverse was Benedetto Pistrucci.
