Great Britain: The Five Sovereign Piece 2025 Coin

The 2025 Gold Sovereign is a unique coin that combines rich history and modern craftsmanship. Commemorating the 200th anniversary of the legendary Royal Arms design by Jean Baptiste Merlen. This edition has the distinction of being the last to be minted in red gold.

The 5 Gold Sovereigns from 2025 are minted from Au metal. 916.7, made of 22-carat gold, weighing 39.94 grams and diameter 36.02 mm. Each coin from the historical collection has an admixture of copper, thanks to which it is highly resistant to scratches and damage. Moreover, all coins from the "Sovereign" series are guaranteed by the British government.

Obverse shows the image of King Charles III of Great Britain wearing a crown, the inscription "CHARLES III∙DEI∙GRA∙REX∙FID∙DEF", designed by Martin Jennings.

Reverse presents the design of the Royal Arms shield by Jean Baptiste Merlen. The date of issue is also given at the bottom of the gold coin.
