The Gold Coin Polish Circulation Banknotes – 20 zł Gold 2024 Proof NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo is the second issue in the National Bank of Poland’s collector series “Polish Circulation Banknotes.” This piece reflects the styling of the contemporary 20-złoty banknote and stands out with its distinctive rectangular format and rich historical symbolism associated with Bolesław I the Brave.
Top Grade NGC PF 70 Ultra Cameo
The coin was struck from one ounce of .9999 fine gold, weighs 31.10 g, and measures 50 × 25 mm. Its face value is 20 zł, and the maximum mintage was limited to 1,500 pieces. The presented specimen has been graded by NGC and received the highest possible grade of PF 70 Ultra Cameo, confirming its perfect state of preservation and the strong contrast between the relief and the mirrored background. The coin is housed in a protective NGC slab.
The combination of a limited mintage, one ounce of pure gold, an unusual banknote-inspired form, and the highest grading designation makes this an exceptionally attractive piece for collectors of modern NBP issues and certified gold coins.
Obverse and Reverse
Obverse: In the central part, it features an image of a silver denarius from the reign of Bolesław I the Brave. On the left side there is a depiction of a rotunda, and above it an oval containing fragments of a crown. On the right side, a lion rampant appears on a plant tendril. The composition is complemented by the issuer’s markings, the gold fineness, and the year of issue, 2024.
Reverse: It shows, within an ornate medallion, a portrait of King Bolesław I the Brave. In the background, the outline of a Romanesque portal is visible, while on the right side there is an oval with fragments of a crown and a stylized oak motif. The entire design refers to the graphic layout of the Polish 20-złoty circulation banknote.
