Ghana Rock-Cut Monuments Rushmore 2 oz Silver 2024 High Relief Antique Finish
The Rock-cut Monuments: Rushmore coin is the second release in the series dedicated to monumental sculptures carved in rock. This time, the inspiration is the famous Mount Rushmore—a symbol of freedom, courage, and the ambition of the leaders who shaped the foundations of the United States.
On the granite slopes of the Black Hills, the faces of four presidents are immortalized: George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln. Each of these figures symbolizes a different stage in the building of the nation—from its founding, through development, to the preservation of unity. The coin reflects this idea through a dynamic, three-dimensional composition.
This release is struck in pure .999 fine silver, weighs 2 ounces (62.2 g), and has a diameter of 45 mm. It features an Antique Finish and High Relief, which give the design impressive depth and a realistic, sculptural character, highlighting the details of the faces carved in rock.
The coin originates from Ghana, carries a face value of 10 cedis, and was issued in 2024. The mintage is limited to 999 pieces worldwide, underscoring its collectible nature.
Obverse: features the official elements of the issuing country, including the face value and year of issue, presented in a classic style.
Reverse: depicts the monumental busts of the four American presidents carved into Mount Rushmore, rendered with great attention to detail and dimensionality thanks to the use of high relief.
