Ghana: Giants of the Ice Age - Woolly Mammoth 1000g Silver 2019
The kilogram coin with the image of the Hairy Mammoth is the first coin in the Giants of the Ice Age series. The series is dedicated to the animal giants of the Ice Age. Giants of the Ice Age will comprise eight coins, issued over four years. The featured coin was struck from pure fine silver, with a total weight of 1,000 grams. The German manufacturer, Leipziger Edelmetallverarbeitung, is responsible for its minting. The coin is also fully legal tender and is guaranteed by the Government of Ghana. What's more, its mintage is 1 000 pieces and is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity and what's interesting is that the coin's serial number is directly on the coin. The Averse of the silver coin depicts the coat of arms of Ghana and the inscription " Republic of Ghana" and information about the face value. The Rewers shows a mammoth figure against a winter environment. In addition, the reverse includes images of all the animals that will make up the series and information on the year of minting, the weight of the coin and the purity of the bullion used.
