France: Year of the Horse 1 oz Silver 2026 Proof is a coin from the Chinese Calendar series, which introduces a new animal each year. 2026 is the Year of the Horse, representing energy, independence and liveliness in Chinese culture. The face value is 20€, and the mintage is 3000 coins.

On the obverse of the coin, a galloping horse appears at the centre, seemingly crossing a ring engraved with traditional Chinese motifs. The moving horse reflects the characteristics of those born under this sign: energy, independence and passion. Around the design are the year 2026 and the inscription "Année du Cheval".

Reverse depicts all the animals of the Chinese zodiac surrounding a traditional temple door. A full cycle of the Chinese zodiac starts in 2018 and lasts until 2029, with each of the twelve years represented by one animal. The face value appears in the top left-hand corner, and the letters "RF" are on the door.
