Furthermore, the silver coin is minted under licence from the Government of Fiji, making it guaranteed by the Government of Fiji and a fully fledged means of payment in the issuing country. In addition, the coin has a strictly limited mintage of only 100 pieces.
The Overt of the gold coin depicts the Fijian coat of arms and information on the weight, purity of the bullion, the year the coin was struck and the face value.
Rewers depict an adorable dog and the inscription "DOGS".
