Dragon and Tiger 2 oz Silver 2018 High Relief Proof
In Chinese culture, the dragon is revered as a divine mythical creature, embodying power, wealth and good fortune. Dragons are often depicted in pursuit of a burning pearl, a metaphor for wisdom and enlightenment. Like the dragon, the tiger is considered a lucky animal. The pattern on the tiger's forehead is very similar to the Chinese sign for 'king', so it has become a symbol of courage and strength.
In feng shui, the dragon and tiger are considered perfect for each other.
The obverse of the coin shows an image of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse depicts the extremely interesting, Dragon and Tiger and was designed by Thomas Vaughan. This is a coin with a doubly royal pedigree that will make an interesting addition to any collection. This is the second coin in the series.
