Discover Poland – Town Hall in Brzeg 5 zł 2025
Discover Poland – Brzeg Town Hall 5 zł 2025 marks the twenty-second release in the acclaimed series celebrating Poland’s most iconic monuments and landmarks. This 5 zł coin pays tribute to the Renaissance-era town hall in Brzeg, a historic seat of local governance whose elegant silhouette defines the Silesian skyline.
Struck to Brilliant Uncirculated quality (Mint State I), the coin is issued in a maximum mintage of 1 000 000 pieces. Its outer ring consists of nickel-plated steel (alloy MN 25), surrounding a solid brass core (CuAl6Ni2), creating a striking silvery appearance combined with exceptional durability. The piece measures 24.00 mm in diameter and weighs 6.54 g. Its edge is irregularly reeded, featuring the inscription “NBP” repeated eight times, with every second character inverted, lending both security and visual interest.
The **obverse** retains the National Bank of Poland’s signature design language: a finely detailed Polish eagle at the center, flanked by the denomination “5 ZŁ” and the year of issue “2025.” A recessed mirror field contrasts with a frosted emblem, while the raised ring echoes the repeated “NBP” legend along the edge.
The **reverse** will unveil a rendition of Brzeg’s Renaissance town hall on the official release date. Preview sketches indicate a harmonious blend of matte and lustrous surfaces to emphasize the building’s architectural lines, with a delicately textured background adding depth and subtle contrast. This approach ensures the design aligns seamlessly with previous Discover Poland issues, combining historical narrative with contemporary minting techniques.
Launched in 2023, the Discover Poland series has already honored the architectural gems of Zamość, Kazimierz Dolny, and Sandomierz. Planned releases for early 2026 will continue this journey through Poland’s Renaissance and Baroque heritage, spotlighting further landmarks of national significance.
Discover Poland – Brzeg Town Hall 5 zł 2025 offers both collectors and enthusiasts of Polish history an engaging blend of educational insight and refined aesthetics. With its thoughtful design and commemorative appeal, this coin is a valuable addition to any collection.
