The coin features Stegosaurus during the Late Jurassic period, around 155-150 million years ago, in what is now North America. It was characterised by its massive body and unique appearance, with rows of large, triangular plates running along its back and a distinctive tail ending in four spikes. The specimen is minted in Ag.925 sterling silver, weighing 8 grams, 27.30 mm in diameter, in proof standard. The mintage of the coin is 5,210 pieces. In addition, this extraordinary piece was produced by The Royal Mint. The product has been housed in its original packaging. The coin is guaranteed by the UK government as to its legality, purity of bullion and origin of the metal, and is full legal tender in the issuer's country. The Averse shows the likeness of King Charles III of Great Britain and the denomination and year, as designed by Martin Jennings.
