The Cook Islands Silver Collector Coin: King of the South - Lion 1 oz Silver 2023 Proof High Relief is an interesting product depicting the lion, which is considered the king of all animals in Africa. The coin was struck in pure Ag.999 silver, weighing 1 troy ounce and measuring 38.61 mm in diameter, in proof high relief. The mintage of the coin is 1,000 pieces. The product is full legal tender in the Cook Islands.

The obverse depicts the claws of a lion holding a coin with an image of Queen Elizabeth II. The obverse also features the inscription 'ELIZABETH II', 'COOK ISLANDS' and the year the coin was struck and the denomination. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.

Rewers show two lions: one with an open mouth and the other calm in the background. The reverse also features the inscription 'KING OF THE SOUTH'.
