The mutiny that took place in the Pacific ended with the surrender of the captain and 18 crew members. Forced to abandon ship, they were left in the middle of nowhere in a small lifeboat. After a murderous 3,500-mile swim, the captain finally reaches safe land, from which he begins a search for the rebels. The coin was struck in pure silver of Ag.9999 and weighing 1 troy ounce.The Overt is invariably decorated with an image of Queen Elizabeth II. The obverse also bears the inscription "ELIZABETH II", "COOK ISLANDS" and the year the coin was struck. The obverse was designed by Ian Rank-Broadley.
