The Cook Islands Gold Coin: Ancient Greece - Wine Grapes 'Naxos' 0.5 gram Gold 2023 Silk Coin is from the 'Ancient Greece' series. Naxos, the earliest Greek colony in Sicily, was founded in the 8th millennium BC and located on the east coast, south of present-day Taormina. It became famous for viticulture.

The coin was struck in pure Au.9999 gold, weighing 0.5 grams, 11 mm in diameter, in silk standard. The mintage of the coin is 15,000 pieces. The product is full legal tender in the Cook Islands. The CIT Mint - Coin Invest AG is responsible for issuing the piece.

The obverse depicts a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The obverse also bears the inscription "ELIZABETH II", "COOK ISLANDS" and the denomination and date of issue. The designer of the obverse was Ian Rank-Broadley.
