Congo: Prehistoric Life - Stegosaurus 0.5 gram Gold 2023 Proof is an investment coin that is the twelfth and final release from the Prehistoric Life series. The coin depicts a herbivorous, four-legged and armoured dinosaur from the Late Jurassic period, characterised by vertical kite-shaped plates along its back. The gold coin containing the image of Stegosaurus has been made from pure Au.9999 gold, weighing 0.5 grams, 11 mm in diameter, in proof standard. This small coin has a limited mintage of 2,000 pieces. In addition, the 2023 gold coin is full legal tender and is guaranteed by the Government of the Republic of Congo.

The Averse of the gold coin depicts the coat of arms of the Republic of the Congo and information on the face value, weight and purity of the bullion used. The Rewers shows an image of a Stegosaurus, the inscription "PREHISTORIC LIFE". The reverse also shows the year the coin was struck.
