Chiwoo Cheonwang considered a hero in both Chinese and Korean culture. A leader of the Nine Li tribe originating from ancient China. Chiwoo is recognised as one of the three legendary founding fathers of China and the 14th Shinshi Emperor, the first semi-legendary state, the cradle of the first Korean nation. The silver medal produced in South Korea by KOMSCO contains 99.9% silver and weighs 1 ounce. The coin is the third edition of the popular Chiwoo Cheonwang medal series among collectors. The obverse features a shield design of Chiwoo Cheonwang with an image of Dokkaebi, a unique mythical being from Korea called a spirit, monster or god, similar to the hob-goblin from Western culture.The reverse of the medal features an image of Chiwoo Cheonwang in military garb, on horseback with his hand raised, in which he holds a legendary sword.
