The product is made of pure Au.9999 gold, with a weight of 1 troy ounce and a diameter of 37 mm, in prooflike standard. What's more, the whole piece has a limited mintage of 999 pieces. Each coin is guaranteed by the Government of Chad and is full legal tender in the issuer's country.

The coin refers to the 50th anniversary of the sending of the unmanned Pioneer 10 space probe into space, along with the Pioneer tile, which featured a drawing in 1972. The tile contained information for the finder from an alien civilisation. The drawing was used to prepare the reverse. The Averse shows the coat of arms of Chad and the inscription "MESSAGE FROM EARTH 1972-2022". On the obverse there is information about the weight and the bullion sample.

Rewers shows the inscription "PIONEER PLAQUE", "50 YEARS" and the image of a man and a woman. The reverse also shows the face value of the coin.
