Canada: RCMP Musical Ride coloured $20 Silver 2025 Proof
Canada: RCMP Musical Ride Coloured $20 Silver 2025 Proof is a unique coin celebrating one of Canada's most iconic traditions – the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Musical Ride. These performances are a spectacular blend of music, motion, and precisely synchronized cavalry drills executed by up to 32 officers in red serge uniforms riding black horses. Each show is a true celebration of colour, rhythm, and precision, symbolizing Canadian heritage and national pride.
The coin is struck from .9999 fine silver, weighs 31.39 grams, and has a diameter of 38 mm. It features a proof finish with selective colouring. Each coin is presented in an individually certified case. The mintage is limited to 8,500 pieces. The coin was produced by the Royal Canadian Mint and is backed by the Government of Canada for its legality, metal purity, and origin. It is legal tender in Canada.
The obverse features the effigy of King Charles III along with the coin’s face value and issuing country, designed by Steven Rosati.
The reverse depicts the officer leading the RCMP Musical Ride as he salutes, seated on a black horse in full red serge uniform. The scene is enhanced with selective colour, while the surrounding pennants symbolize the 32 riders taking part in the performance. The reverse was designed by Janet Griffin.
