Canada: Peace Dollar Gilded 1 oz Silver 2026 Proof
Canada: Peace Dollar gilded 1 oz Silver 2026 Proof is a unique collector’s coin featuring a classic personification of Peace, radiating calm and dignity. In the 2026 edition, Lady Peace is highlighted with gold plating that contrasts with the silver field, giving the design exceptional depth and beauty. Most of the reverse remains unplated, allowing the gold-plated Lady Peace and the ground beneath her feet to shine even more. This intentional contrast elevates the artistic quality and symbolizes that peace is not only precious – it illuminates its surroundings, casting a golden light that warms and uplifts.
The coin is struck in 31.39 g of 99.99% pure silver with gold-plated elements, has a diameter of 38 mm, a plain edge, and a face value of 1 Canadian dollar. It comes in a black clamshell case with a black beauty box, making it a striking addition to any numismatic collection. Mintage is 8,000 worldwide.
Obverse features a portrait of King Charles III, surrounded by his name, the issuing country – Canada – and the coin’s face value.
Reverse shows Lady Peace in gold plating, standing on the ground. At the top is the inscription A MARI USQUE AD MARE, to the left PAX, and to the right the year of issue 2026. The matte-frosted details contrast beautifully with the mirrored background, highlighting the artistic quality of the design. Designed by Susan Taylor, retired Senior Engraver of the RCM.
