Canada Klondike: Gold Rush - Passage for Gold 1 oz Gold 2023
The obverse of the gold bullion coin features the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II, as well as the face value. Since 2014, additional security features include radial lines in the background of the coin. The reverse combines two scenes depicting the comparable White Pass Locomotive and Yukon Route Railway, which carried passengers and supplies to the Yukon in the early 20th century, and the men who mine the gold. Then, by separating the gold from the stones, the Maple Leaf gold coin was created. The Maple Leaf is the national symbol of Canada. The reverse also shows the sample and weight in which the coin was struck and the country of issue. The Mint has further protected the coins by adding a miniature maple leaf with a micro-engraved mark - '23' - on the lower left side of the coin, indicating the year the coin was struck.
