"The Woolly Mammoth, also known as the woolly mammoth, was a giant mammal that lived during the Pleistocene period, about 400,000 to 4,000 years ago. It was a relative of today's elephants, but adapted to live in the cold climate of the Pleistocene, as evidenced by uncovered remains and finds. The Woolly Mammoth had long, curved tusks that sometimes reached more than 3 metres in length, with a coat about 90 cm long.The coin is minted in Ag.9999 sterling silver, weighing 2 troy ounces and 38 mm in diameter. In addition, this remarkable piece was produced by The Royal Canadian Mint.
