Canada: Honouring Elsie MacGill - Commemorative Collector Keepsake Card 7 Coin 2023 Set
The coins are minted from an alloy of copper and nickel and bromine and aluminium. The coins have denominations - 2 Dollar, 1 Dollar, 25 Cent, 10 Cent, 5 Cent, In order of highest face value, the products have weights and diameters:6.99 g and 28 mm, 6.27 g and 26.5 mm, 4.40 g and 23.88 mm, 1.75 g and 18.03 mm, 3.95 g and 21.20 mm.
The piece comes with individual packaging. This remarkable set was produced by The Royal Canadian Mint, in an edition of 50,000. The coins are guaranteed by the Government of Canada as to its legality, purity of bullion and origin of metal, and are full legal tender in the issuer's country.
The obverses depict the likeness of Queen Elizabeth II, the inscriptions "ELIZABETH II", "DG REGINA", "1952-2022" and the date of issue, according to a design by Susanna Blunt.
The reverses feature information on face value and the issuing country. Two 1-dollar coins show the image of Elsie MacGill with a plane. The other coins depict, in turn, a polar bear, the Common Loon duck, the Caribou reindeer, the Bluenose sailing ship, and a beaver.
