The Canada: Holiday 5 coins 2024 set is an interesting product that relates to Christmas.
The coins are minted with an alloy of copper and nickel, as well as bromine and aluminium. The coins have denominations - 2 Dollar, 1 Dollar, 25 Cent, 10 Cent, 5 Cent. In order of highest face value, the products have weights and diameters: 6.99 g and 28 mm, 6.27 g and 26.5 mm, 4.4 g and 23.88 mm, 1.75 g and 18.03 mm, 3.96 g and 21.2 mm.
The specimen comes with individual certified packaging. This remarkable set was produced by The Royal Canadian Mint, in an edition of 100,000 pieces. The coins are guaranteed by the Government of Canada as to its legality, purity of bullion and origin of metal, and are full legal tender in the issuer's country.
The obverses bear the likeness of King Charles III and information on the coin's face value and date of issue, as designed by Steven Rosati.
The reverses feature information on the year, denomination and country of issue. The coins depict, in sequence, a polar bear, a Christmas reindeer, a 'Caribou' reindeer, a 'Bluenose' sailing ship, and a 'Castor canadensis' beaver.
