Canada: Conservation Stories - Northern Leopard Frog 6 Coin 2024 Set Specimen
The coins are minted from an alloy of copper and nickel and bromine and aluminium, to a specimen standard. The coins have denominations - 2 Dollar, 1 Dollar, 50 Cent, 25 Cent, 10 Cent, 5 Cent, In order of highest face value, the products have weights and diameters:6.99 g and 28.03 mm, 6.27 g and 26.5 mm, 6.90 and 27.13 mm, 4.44 g and 23.88 mm, 1.75 g and 18.06 mm, 3.95 g and 21.20 mm.
The piece comes individually wrapped. This remarkable set was produced by The Royal Canadian Mint, in an edition of 30,000 pieces. The coins are guaranteed by the Government of Canada as to its legality, purity of bullion and origin of metal, and are full legal tender in the issuer's country.
The obverses depict the likeness of King Charles III, the inscriptions "CHARLES III", "DG REX", as designed by Steven Rosati.
The reverses are marked with the year, denomination and country of issue. The coins depict, in sequence, a polar bear, a leopard frog, Canada's coat of arms, the 'Caribou' reindeer, the 'Bluenose' sailing ship, and a beaver.
