"Grizli bear, grizli, grizzly, grey bear (Ursus arctos horribilis) - a subspecies of brown bear, a carnivorous mammal belonging to the bear family. It inhabits North America in its western part and is also found in the Rocky Mountains. Its body length reaches more than 3 m, weight up to 700 kg. The colour of the coat is brown with a grey or silvery coating. The grizzly is a subspecies of the brown bear (Ursus arctos). Omnivorous, it feeds mainly on plant food, carrion, small animals and also hunts larger mammals, with the distinctly smaller baribal, known as the black bear, also being its prey."
