The wolf, is a species of carnivorous mammal of the canid family (Canidae), inhabiting forests, plains, swamps and mountains of Eurasia and North America. A species with territorial tendencies. The usual territory occupied by a pack is 100-300 km², but the size depends on the availability of food and terrain. There may be sharing of part of the territory between two competing packs. The wolf is able to cover a distance of several tens of kilometres in a day. In search of a mate, a male can travel more than 600 km in 2 weeks.
