Canadian Gold Howling Wolf) 1/10 Ounce Gold The first coin in the new "Call of the Wild" series (the other being the Howling Puma), produced by the excellent Royal Canadian Mint. This magnificent coin is minted at 0.99999, making it a product minted from the purest gold! "By 2010, an estimated 166,000 tonnes of gold had been mined throughout history. World consumption of mined gold is 50% consumed in jewellery, 40% in various investments and 10% in industrial applications. Gold deposits identified up to 2008 were estimated at 26,000 tonnes. At 2005 extraction levels, these deposits would last about 14 years. Gold is the most malleable of all metals - one gram of gold can be broken into a sheet with a surface area of 1 m²."

The wolf, is a species of carnivorous mammal of the canid family (Canidae), inhabiting forests, plains, swamps and mountains of Eurasia and North America. A species with territorial tendencies. The usual territory occupied by a pack is 100-300 km², but the size depends on the availability of food and terrain. There may be sharing of part of the territory between two competing packs. The wolf is able to cover a distance of several tens of kilometres in a day. In search of a mate, a male can travel more than 600 km in 2 weeks.

The coin's obverse is decorated with an exquisite profile of Queen Elizabeth II, the face value ($20) and the year of mintage (2014).The reverse of the 2014 coin depicts the image of a howling wolf, the country of minting (Canada), the weight of the coin and information about the sample of gold in which it was struck (0. 99999).
