The British Virgin Islands Coin: Una & Lion 1 oz Silver 2019 is a valentine to the Epic Tale of Una and the Lion. It is the work of the famous English poet Edmund Spencer.Written in 1590, the story has stood the test of time and has become a symbol of beauty, strength, honour and perseverance. Una is a beautiful princess whose parents and kingdom are captured by a cruel dragon. Helena embarks on a mission to free them from the clutches of the dragon, taking her on an epic journey full of battles, adventure and romance.

The coin was struck in Ag.999 sterling silver, weighing 1 troy ounce and measuring 38.6mm in diameter. The excellent Pobjoy Mint is responsible for the issue. The product is full legal tender in the British Virgin Islands.

The obverse shows an image of Queen Elizabeth II of Great Britain, the inscription "BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS" and the minting date of the coin. The Rewers presents an image of St Helena with Lion with the year of mintage, purity of metal and weight. The reverse bears the inscription 'DIEU ET MON DROIT'.
