The limited edition Big Five Africa series is made up of animals - elephant, lion, buffalo, rhino and leopard. The coin depicts the African lion, which is considered the king of all African animals. The coin was struck in pure Au.9999 bullion, weighing 1/4 troy ounce and measuring 22mm in diameter, in proof standard. This unique piece was produced by the renowned mint, The South Africa Mint, and is official legal tender in the issuing country. The entire series is guaranteed by the South African government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and origin of the metal.The coin has a mintage of only 2 000 pieces. Each coin has individual original packaging . The Overt shows the head of an African lion and the inscription "SOUTH AFRICA". , "BIG FIVE 2022" and the South African coat of arms.On the reverse the two halves of the lion's head are depicted.
