The issuer of the Twelve Apostles is the world-renowned investment producer Royal Australian Mint. The piece acts as full legal tender and is guaranteed by the Australian Government as to the legality, purity of the bullion and origin of the metal.
The obverse of the coin depicts Queen Elizabeth II amidst a tropical landscape, designed by Jody Clark, along with weight and issuing country information.
Rewers show coloured rocks in the ocean with the inscriptions "TWELVE APOSTLES", "BEAUTY, RICH & RARE". The reverse also shows the denomination and year. The designer was Aleksandra Stokic.
