Banknote 5 Great British Pound - Queen Elizabeth II (5 pound / 5 GBP) 100 pcs Circulated
The polymer banknote with a denomination of 5 British pounds featuring Queen Elizabeth II was introduced into circulation by the Bank of England on 13 September 2016. It was the first polymer banknote issued by the Bank of England, marking an important step towards modernising the UK currency. It replaced the previous paper banknotes and introduced new, advanced security features aimed at making counterfeiting more difficult and improving the durability of the banknotes. Important! On the obverse of the banknote is the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, a traditional element of British banknotes. This portrait is placed at the right end of the banknote. Around the portrait are the words "Bank of England" and the denomination "£5".
On the reverse of the banknote is the image of Sir Winston Churchill, one of the United Kingdom’s most famous prime ministers. Churchill served as prime minister during World War II (1940–1945) and again from 1951 to 1955. His image was included on the banknote to honour his contribution to British history.
The banknote also features a quote from one of Churchill’s most famous speeches, delivered on 13 May 1940: "I have nothing to offer but blood, toil, tears and sweat".

Image-changing hologram:
Tilting the banknote from side to side causes the words to change between "Five" and "Pounds".
See-through window:
On the front of the banknote, the foil over the window is gold, and on the back it is silver.
Green foil:
A round green foil patch contains letters forming the word "BLENHEIM".
Portrait of the monarch in the see-through window:
The portrait of Queen Elizabeth II is printed on the window along with the text "£5 Bank of England" twice around the edge.
Colour-changing border:
When you tilt the banknote, the border around the see-through window changes colour from purple to green.
Silver foil:
Above the see-through window on the front of the banknote there is a silver foil with a three-dimensional image of the coronation crown.
Polymer substrate and raised print:
The banknote is printed on polymer, which increases its durability and resistance to soiling. On the front of the banknote you can feel raised print, for example on the words "Bank of England" and around the number "5".
