Bald Eagle 1 oz Silver 2014
The American Bison is the sixth and final coin of the Wildlife series produced by Royal Canadian Mint. All coins in the series (2011- Grizzly and Wolf; 2012- Kuguar and Moose; 2013- Antelope and Bison) are minted in premium 9999 silver. They have a limited mintage of 1,000,000 pieces, making them an ideal collector and investment product as their value increases year on year. In the year of minting, these coins sold at normal bullion prices (prices were similar to the Maple Leaf coin, for example), but now cost about 60% more than traditional investment coins. The bison or American bison is a large mammal of the vertebrate family, currently the largest mammal of North America. It is found in the prairies and forests of North America. The obverse of the coin depicts a massive bison running through the snow. In the background stretches the forest, the natural habitat of its occurrence. The upper half shows the country of origin of the coin (Canada). At the bottom edge, we find information about the weight and the proof of the coin (like all Canadian coins, it is 9999). The obverse was designed by Emily S. Damstra. The reverse of the coin contains information about its denomination ($5), as well as the year of minting (2013). Traditionally, we can also admire the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.Miniature condition, the coin shows visible traces of patina.Do you need help?
