American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold 1998
The American Eagle is a gold coin minted from 22-karat gold. American gold coins with a 916 proof contain a small admixture of silver, making them stand out for their unconventional colour. Production of the gold coins takes place at the United States Mint, which first minted the titular eagle in 1986. Throughout the production period, the given image of the goddess on the obverse has not changed. The popularity of the American Eagle coins is due to both the brilliantly designed design and the unique production method, which is done by hand. The obverse was created by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for the coins minted between 1907 and 1933, and depicts the personification of Liberty, symbol of the United States and liberation, walking with the attributes of peace: an olive branch and a torch. The seat of the US Congress can be seen at her feet, with the sun's rays in the background. On the reverse of the American Eagle, we see an image of a bird landing in a nest, designed by American sculptor Miley Tucker-Frost. The reverse also features the American maxim of the Declaration of Independence: "In God We Trust" and "E pluribus unum" (Out of many one). Do you need help?
