African Wildlife: Somalia Elephant 2 oz Silver 2025
The Somalian Elephant Silver Coin is another release in the Somalian Elephant series, which began in 1999. Interestingly, the first coins from this series in 1999 were issued with the guarantee of the Zambian government. However, since 2003, the coins have been guaranteed by the government of Somalia. Additionally, both the silver and gold Somalian Elephant coins are part of the African Wildlife collector’s program.
The 2025 silver edition was produced by the German precious metals manufacturer Bayerisches Hauptmünzamt, weighing two troy ounces and made of .9999 fine silver.
Furthermore, the African Wildlife: Somalia Elephant coins produced after 2004 are considered legal tender and are guaranteed by the government of Somalia in terms of authenticity, purity, and origin of the metal.
Obverse features the coat of arms of Somalia, with two leopards supporting a shield with a star, along with the year of issue and face value.
Reverse depicts an adult Somalian elephant in its natural habitat. The inscriptions "AFRICAN WILDLIFE," "ELEPHANT," as well as weight and silver purity details, are also present
