In addition, the Somali Elephant series of silver and gold coins is part of the African Wildlife collector programme. The 2024 gold piece was produced by the German precious metals producer Bayerisches Hauptmünzamt, with a weight of 1/4 troy ounce and a bullion purity of Au.9999. Furthermore, the African Wildlife: Somalia Elephant coins, which were produced after 2004, are legal tender and carry the Somali government's guarantee of the legality, purity of the bullion and origin of the metal.
The obverse depicts the Somali coat of arms, two leopards supporting a shield with a star, along with information on the year of mintage and the denomination of the coin. The Rewers shows fighting male elephants against a background of the African steppe. The reverse side features the inscription 'AFRICAN WILDLIFE', 'ELEPHANT' and information on the weight and purity of the bullion.Do you need help?
