The second coin in the African Wildlife -Leopard series with a weight of 1 ounce and a pure bullion content of 99.99 per cent is produced by the Bavarian mint. The Bayerisches Hauptmünzamt is a European mint established in 1871 and located in Munich. In addition to the captivating reverse, the coin has a limited mintage of 30,000. Leopards (Leopard) are graceful, powerful cats that are closely related to lions, tigers and jaguars. Leopards can hunt from trees, where their spotted fur allows them to blend in with the foliage. These wild animals are the strongest climbers among the big cats and excellent swimmers. The obverse of the silver coin depicts the Somali coat of arms, two leopards supporting a shield with a star along with information on the year of mintage and denomination.
