500th anniversary of the issuance of the Łaski Statute2006
On the 500th anniversary of the issuance of the document Statute of Łaski, a list of all statutes and privileges in force in the Kingdom of Poland, a coin was created to commemorate this achievement. The silver coin was struck from silver of 925 purity and weighing 14.14 g. The obverse depicts an illustration of an eagle representing the emblem of the Republic of Poland, a weight symbolising justice and a book. Additionally, from the obverse it is possible to read information such as the denomination, the year of issue and the inscription RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA.The reverse depicts King Alexander Jagiellon sitting on a throne and Chancellor Jan Łaski holding a statute and a seal.
