Silver coin 200th Anniversary of the Birth of Ignacy Łukasiewicz 10 zloty Silver 2022 Proof High Relief is an interesting numismatic offering presented by the National Bank of Poland.The coin celebrates the 200th anniversary of Ignacy Łukasiewicz's birth. Łukasiewicz lived between 1822 and 1882 and was an entrepreneur, inventor of the paraffin lamp and founder of the world's first oil mine.

This is a specimen that has been made of Ag.999 silver, weighing 31.10 grams and in proof standard - struck with a mirror stamp and high relief.What is more, the silver coin has a strictly limited mintage of up to 10,000 pieces and the whole coin is supplied in an exclusive case with a certificate of authenticity.The obverse of the silver coin depicts the image of the white eagle, which is the emblem of the Republic of Poland. The obverse bears the inscription "RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 2022", as well as information on the coin's face value and the year of issue.

The reverse shows an image of Ignacy Łukasiewicz, the inscription "200. ROCZNICA IGNACEGO ŁUKASIEWICZA" and a prototype of an oil lamp and the oldest mine in the world, which is located in Bóbrka.
