The Royal Australian Mint is responsible for its production, with minting carried out on behalf of the New Zealand Post. The product is full legal tender in New Zealand. The mintage of the silver coin is only 2,500 pieces, where the whole coin comes in its original box with an accompanying certificate of authenticity.
