125th anniversary of the birth of Karol Szymanowski 2007
A silver collector's coin struck to commemorate the 125th anniversary of the birth and 70th anniversary of the death of the composer Karol Szymanowski; by a resolution of 16 November 2006, the Sejm of the Republic of Poland decided to make 2007 the Year of Karol Szymanowski. This silver coin is hallmarked 925 silver and has a weight of 14.14g.The obverse depicts an illustration of an eagle representing the emblem of the Republic of Poland against the background of a score, with the keys visible on the right. All is surrounded by the inscription RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA 2007. The reverse features an image of Karol Szymanowski and a score incorporated into the figure.
